Privacy

A plain-language summary of what the app does with your data and how it should be used.

Who we are

Pettuso is, for now, a project run by a private individual: Ivo Soares. Contact: hello@pettuso.com.

What data we keep

Your email and name. Your animals' data: name, species, age, weight, allergies, routines, health records, and any photos and documents you add. And the entries made by the people you invite. If you wish, an emergency contact (for example your number while you're away), which only the people who look after your animals can see.

What it's for

Only to make the app work: showing the day's tasks, sharing with the people you invite, sending reminders on this phone and creating the PDF report.

Who sees it

You and the people you invite to each animal. Photos and documents are kept in a private space that only those people can reach.

Clinic codes

If you use a code your vet clinic gave you, we store which code you used and when, only to count how many people come through each clinic. The clinic does not know who used the code and receives no money for it.

What we don't do

Pettuso doesn't show ads and doesn't sell your data.

Your rights

You can download a copy of your animals' data (the records you own) or delete your account in Settings → Your data. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, your animals and their records; the people you shared those animals with can no longer see them.

Switzerland and the European Union

If you are in Switzerland, the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies; if you are in the European Union, the GDPR. Either way you have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, and you can complain to the authority in your country (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner).

Notifications

If you turn notifications on, we store an identifier of your phone so we can alert you when a medication dose has not been confirmed. The alert includes the animal's and the medication's name and travels through the notification services of Expo and Apple (or Google) to reach your phone. You can turn notifications off in your phone settings; when you sign out or delete your account, the identifier is deleted.

Where it's stored

In a secure cloud database (Supabase) in the European Union (Ireland), over encrypted connections.

Who helps us run the app

Supabase (the database and your account, in the EU, Ireland); Resend (account emails, such as confirming your address or resetting your password, sent from the EU, Ireland); Cloudflare (the pettuso.com domain and forwarding the messages you send us); Expo, Apple and Google (sending notifications and the app stores). Each receives only what it needs for its part.
